Finnish e-invoicing and purchase-to-pay solutions provider Basware has inked a sizeable deal with an established entertainment company in Australia.

Basware has announced an agreement with a new customer from Sydney, Australia, for its purchase-to-pay software. The new customer, whose name has not been disclosed, will join Basware’s existing customer base consisting of 2 700 enterprises around the world.

The Finnish company was listed as the world’s leading procure-to-pay solutions provider in 2017 by Forrester Research.

“Our [new] customer will simplify invoicing for their suppliers while improving invoice data quality with Basware’s new SmartPDF solution, which they will be providing to hundreds of their suppliers,” saysMichael Pyliotis, vice president for APAC at Basware. “ They will also benefit from advanced purchase-to-pay analytics which is built into the Basware solution and gives them powerful insights into their financial data.”

Although veiled in anonymity, the new customer is described as an over 60-year-old entertainment company that is owned by one of the better-known business families in Sydney and is worth over one billion euros. The customer is also said to have a portfolio of over 70 brands and venues.
