Nocart shines again in Africa
Finnish cleantech company Nocart continues to grow in the African market, this time with a purchase agreement in Kenya.
The agreement is for the delivery of a 10MW grid-feed solar plant to an independent power-producing company. The project is to begin immediately, and Nocart’s first deliveries are estimated at six months after down payment.
The value of the deal for Nocart is 14 million US dollars.
“As I have said before, the opportunity for Nocart in Africa is huge and our pipeline has grown to 1.3 billion euros worth of projects,” says Nocart CEO Vesa Korhonen, in a release. “This new contract broadens our customer base and I cannot express how proud I am of the whole team at Nocart for their tireless efforts. I believe this deal will be the first of many contracts to come to fruition.”
Nocart has been busying itself in Africa recently, for example in Zambia, Malawi and Nigeria.
