Neste is supplying Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways with sustainable aviation fuel for planes taking off from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The Finnish company is a global leader in producing renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from waste and residue raw materials. Neste started to deliver sustainable aviation fuel to the airport through a pipeline earlier in the summer, making it available to commercial, cargo and business operators at SFO. In its neat form and over its life cycle, the fuel can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 per cent compared to conventional jet fuel.

Vodafone is supporting Clever Waschen as a connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) partner. The first car wash operator to join the platform is CleanCar, which is turning its car wash sites digital in Germany and Austria with the Superoperator technology.

End products from Suominen’s nonwovens include wet wipes, feminine care products and swabs. In 2019, the company reported net sales of 411.4 million euros and had a headcount of nearly 700 at its sites in Europe and the Americas.
