Big Finnish names sign global deals

KONE, Valmet and Comptel continue to sign agreements with international partners, this time in North America and China.

KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, is set to provide China Zun with the latest high-rise solutions available in the industry. The mixed-use skyscraper will, when completed in 2018, be Beijing’s tallest building with is 108 floors and 528 metres.

When construction of the area beneath the building has been completed, the tower will rise at the speed of one floor every three and a half days. China Zun will be equipped with 142 KONE elevators and escalators.

Valmet, in turn, is to supply two Advantage NTT tissue production lines to Sofidel America’s new mill in the US. The tissue lines will include stock preparation equipment and automation systems to the new mill. Both lines will be started up during 2018.

The value of the order has not been disclosed.

Last but not least, Comptel has signed a deal in North America. The agreement includes licenses and services for Comptel Data Refinery software solution, embedded with analytical capabilities for Operational Intelligence. The value of the deal is approximately 400 000 euros.
