Finland-based education accelerator Xedu and California-based innovation accelerator Global Silicon Valley (GSV) labs have signed a multi-year collaboration agreement.

Launched in November 2015, Helsinki-based Xedu brings educational excellence and entrepreneurial mindset together to boost the creation of future-proof education products and services. Its accelerator programme enables startups to develop scalable, pedagogically-verified and commercially-viable learning solutions.

Silicon Valley-based GSV labs’ EdTech innovation lab accelerates more than 50 EdTech startups in the 72 000-square foot home base. With a team of industry experts, the innovation lab provides focused content and coaching designed to help EdTech companies grow and thrive.

“We are excited to collaborate with GSV labs,” says Antti Korhonen, CEO of Xedu. “Their presence in the heart of Silicon Valley along with their extensive mentor and partner school networks makes GSV labs an ideal beachhead and go-to-market partner to the US market for companies in our accelerator program. At the same time we offer our networks and market access in Northern Europe for GSV labs-accelerated companies. It is a true win-win for everyone involved.”
