Finnish Wellmo has announced a new collaboration with German telehealth company Sanvartis to develop data-driven health services for the German insurance market.

A spin-off from Nokia’s health division, Wellmo helps insurers develop health and wellbeing services on its mobile platform and also connects them with its network of health service providers.

The Finnish company is now springing on its success in the Nordics and Benelux region, as it embarks on a collaboration with Sanvartis to create digital health products and services for German insurers to offer their members.

“It is my pleasure to announce our partnership with Sanvartis,” says Wellmo CEO Jaakko Olkkonen in a press release. “Sanvartis is known in Germany for their strength in telehealth, and we are excited to help a leading local health expert develop new digital health services for its customers and their members.”

Wellmo landed funding earlier this year to help with expansion into key markets in the Nordics, Benelux and Germany.

Wellmo offers an open platform where clients are free to tailor the range of health services according to their own preferences.
