Villada nabs almost EUR 500K for its Nordic conquest
The Finland-based luxury villa rental company will soon start serving in Sweden, followed by the rest of the Nordic countries in the coming years.
Villada’s goal is to become the number one premium villa service in the Nordic market by 2020.
The investment, 448 000 euros, will be used to establish the company’s operations in Sweden. Villada’s target is to reach 2 000 travellers in the Swedish market over the next year.
The list of investors includes the Finnish-Swedish based family company HTS Restaurants together with private investors.
Villada offers high-quality villas in nine countries. The company has operated in the Finnish market for over two years. Currently there are 600 villas available, but according to the CEO Tommi Lehtonen the number will grow up to 1 000 villas in the coming year.
“Instead of conventional travel packages and hotel accommodations, people are looking for different, unique options for both leisure and business trips,” the company’s press release reads. “The Internet is full of booking sites that offer endless options for holiday homes. However, they do not bring the same feeling of security during the booking process as a traditional travel agency do, so Villada has designed a combination of the booking site and travel agency.”
