Valmet finds partners in Russia and India
Valmet is to supply an evaporation plant to Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper mill in Russia, and is also partnering up with Consulta Enterprises in India.
In Russia, Valmet will supply a new evaporation plant, a combustion plant for gases generated in the production process and related automation systems. The mill is located in Novodvinsk.
In India, the agreement with Consulta Enterprises covers India, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Valmet, as the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, will provide its automation solutions. Consulta will take care of sales to end users as well as engineering and field services.
“The agreement is in line with our targets to increase our market activities in these areas,” says Kari S. Heikkilä, director of partner business in automation. “Consulta has a well-established presence, especially in India. Therefore, we see high potential in expanding our power and process automation system business in co-operation with our new partner.”
According to Santosh Ajgaonkar, managing director and co-owner of Consulta Enterprises, the automation systems provided by Valmet help the company deliver enhanced value to its clients.
