The Goodspeed Roaming service aims to provide low-cost mobile internet service internationally and will be embedded into the new ZTE Blade V7 Lite smartphone.

Finnish tech company UROS, or Uni-fi Roaming Solutions, is collaborating with the mobile device division of the Chinese ZTE corporation. The partnership will culminate in the release of the ZTE Blade V7 Lite smartphone where UROS’ Goodspeed Roaming service will play a pivotal role.

“We are excited to join forces with UROS to unveil this brand new roaming solution on top of our ZTE Blade V7 Lite, which we believe international travelers will find incredibly handy,” senior vice president of ZTE, Jacky Zhang says.

The Goodspeed Roaming service will function in over a 100 countries and let customers connect to Wi-Fi at an affordable set daily rate without having to find Wi-Fi hotspots or use local sim cards. It can be activated with one click on a preinstalled application on the smartphone and uses a separate data sim.

“We believe that the ease of use of this new Goodspeed Roaming service on ZTE Blade V7 Lite will be appreciated by the customers,” Gerrit Jan Konijnenberg, CEO of UROS, says.
