TinyApp finds funders for early education
Finnish startup specialising in mobile early childhood education services has gathered a total of 160 000 euros in a seed funding round.
The money came from angel investors in Finland, Sweden and Saudi Arabia.
The Helsinki-based company has developed a mobile application to improve the communication between parents and teachers, helping make the children’s learning paths and teachers’ pedagogical expertise visible. The solution, launched in 2016, has attracted international interest in Asian kindergartens.
“Our vision is to be the companion of a million educators first in Finland and the Southeast Asia and later in the Middle East,” tells founder and CEO Taina Mikkola in a press release. “With the support of investors we are taking our first international steps.”
TinyApp is developed in co-operation with Finnish educators. The method follows the framework of the Finnish National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education.
