Finnish Tespack has closed a two million-euro investment round, which will help the company take its product offering to the Middle East and North Africa.

The round was led by Saudi Arabia-based WOW Ventures and joined by Silicon Valley venture capitalist Neal Dempsey. Dempsey as well as two directors from WOW Ventures will also join Tespack’s board of directors.

In line with Tespack’s expansion strategy, new offices will soon be opened in Amman, Jordan. Whilst the current focus is on the MENA region, Tespack will continue to operate worldwide and serve customers in the business, consumer and military sectors.

The company’s offering consists of wearable technologies and mobile energy solutions to power devices on or off the grid using solar energy. Tespack is headquartered in Helsinki and has an office on Valencia, Spain.

In June, Tespack was recognised as the best Energy Startup in Europe by the European Parliament and the European Commission at the Startup EU Awards.
