Deutsche Bahn has selected Finnish Teleste’s Mitron onboard and station displays for its Colibri portfolio, improving customer experience for the entire travel chain.

Teleste’s subsidiary Teleste Information Solutions (formerly known as Mitron) and Deutsche Bahn have signed a frame agreement concerning the delivery of TFT-LCD displays for trains and stations. Deutsche Bahn is one of the world’s leading passenger and logistics companies, with approximately two billion passengers using its railway services every year.

The displays will be part of Deutsche Bahn’s Colibri portfolio, which comprises basic products, applications and maintenance solutions. The modular portfolio is used by Deutsche Bahn and is available as a product for other rail and transportation operators globally.

“Within the fast developing public transportation sector, modular and highly flexible solutions are needed to improve the passenger experience across the entire travel chain ,” says Esa Harju, SVP of video security and information solutions at Teleste. “We are pleased to continue our long-term cooperation with Deutsche Bahn as a vendor of onboard and station displays for their innovative portfolio. As a solutions provider, we are highly familiar with modular system architectures and the requirements they set for each part of the system.”
