Space Nation opens new office – in space
This might just be the most spacious office ever: Finnish Space Nation has bought an office on the International Space Station (ISS).
According to a press release, the company believes the investment will benefit its vision of “pioneering humanity’s transition to space.”
“It is very exciting to have our own ‘office’ space on the ISS,” says Kalle Vähä-Jaakkola, the CEO of Space Nation. “We are looking forward to working with other companies who would like to use this opportunity to use this space for research and commercial purposes.”
Currently Space Nation is co-operating with companies such as the Edge of Space and Axiom Space.
Space Nation’s mission is to democratise space, and first step is the Space Nation Astronaut Program. The free-of-charge programme begins with a smart phone application, which is to be launched this year. You can read more about the programme in our feature here.
