Smarp expands to US with office in New York
Finnish startup Smarp, the provider of digital employee advocacy services, will open an office in New York in September. The company saw its revenues triple in 2015.
The new office will ensure better services for existing and new customers and speed up Smarp’s expansion plans in the US. The rapid growth in revenues and additional 1.3 million euros in funding from Vision+, Tekes, Frontier as well as the company’s operational management are financing Smarp’s expansion.
The American market is deemed the most advanced in terms of employee advocacy adoption.
“During this year we have been able to close major deals with international clients such as EMC and Deloitte as well as grow our team with top talent such as Lars Ingerslev, the former head of LinkedIn Nordics. The US expansion is the next logical step for Smarp, as our customer base in the North American markets is increasing. — –,” says Roope Heinilä, CEO of Smarp.
Smarp’s most notable product is the Smarp Share SaaS-service with which companies can motivate and enable their employees to share company-related content on their social media networks.
Smarp has offices in Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, London, Singapore and Dubai. As of 2015, the company employs 40 people.
