Swedish ZetaDisplay has announced it will acquire Seasam, one of Finland’s largest suppliers of digital signage.

ZetaDisplay supplies digital signage to large retail chains and the service industry in Europe. Its headquarters are located in Sweden with sales offices in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and the Netherlands.

The fixed purchase price is reported to be 43.9 million Swedish krona (approximately 4.5 million euros). The reason for the decision lies in ZetaDisplay’s ambition to continue its growth and actively participate in the ongoing consolidation of the industry in Europe.

By acquiring Seasam, the company is strengthening its foothold in the Finnish market. Together with ZetaDisplay’s current offering, the merged operations will have a more prominent position with a strong customer base in Finland.

“For some time, Seasam has been building up a strong position on the Finnish market with an attractive range of products and services offered to a broad customer base,” says Manu Mesimäki, CEO of Seasam. “It is in the interest of both Seasam and our customers to merge two companies with unique products and services in order to develop into an even stronger full-service supplier. Together with ZetaDisplay, this will become a reality and we will be able to offer complete solutions at the cutting edge of technology to existing and new customers.”
