Saudi teachers to learn Finnish way of teaching
Saudi Arabia is to commence sending teachers to Finland for training and learning about how to adapt Finnish curricula and teaching methods in the Saudi Arabian school system.
The news was announced by Finland’s minister of education and culture, Sanni Grah-Laasonen, on her Facebook account.
According to the minister, the first group of 80 to 100 teachers will arrive in Finland in the coming months. The collaboration aims to bring up to 1 000 teachers to come get to know and train in Finland.
The programme is organised by the University of Helsinki together with Finland University, a joint transnational education effort by University of Tampere, University of Turku and University of Eastern Finland.
