Pöyry has assumed responsibility for the recycled old corrugated container plant (OCC), paper machine inter-connections, balance-of-plant, upgrade engineering to the mill control systems, extensive migration engineering of the existing control system, and engineering for dismantling of replaced systems.

“Thanks to Pöyry’s proven track record, we trust that this production line rebuild will be highly successful and that PM10 will rank among the very best lightweight and high-strength containerboard production lines in North America,” says Christian Lemay, project manager at Kruger Trois-Rivières.

After the 20-month conversion project, the new production line will produce 360 000 metric tonnes per year of lightweight and high-strength linerboard using 100 per cent recycled corrugated containerboard as raw material.
