Good News from Finland

Coreorient, the company providing the crowdsourced delivery service Piggy Baggy, will be a finalist in South by South West’s (SXSW) Eco Startup Competition spinoff.

The famous competition, organised first in 1987, will take place on 5–7 October 2015 in Austin, Texas, USA. The event has been the first public stage for successful companies such as Twitter.

The SXSW Eco event’s themes for this year are cities, energy + water, policy, corporate social responsibility, communications, design and startup central. Coreorient is the first Finnish company to participate in the eco spinoff of SXSW.

“We are fired up to be part of SXSW Eco. I am honoured to pitch to an audience and to meet our current and possible future partners”, says Harri Paloheimo, CEO of Coreorient.

Piggy Baggy is a ride-sharing delivery service where people transport each other’s packages along their daily commute or shopping trips. Piggy Baggy partners with e-commerce and delivery companies for ecological, economical and socially sustainable solution and is based on the idea of the sharing economy.
