Finnish fintech company PayiQ has signed a partnership agreement for marketing and sales cooperation with Russian systems integrator Lanit.

PayiQ develops cloud-based intelligent mobile ticketing, payment and validation solutions for smart cities, transport authorities and operators globally. The joint efforts with Lanit will take place in the Russian market, which offers plenty of potential for mobile payment solutions and ticketing services.

Lanit’s customers include banks, financial companies, ministries and governmental agencies.

“Lanit is the perfect partner for us,” says Tuomo Parjanen, PayiQ’s CEO. “Our Ticketing as a Service solution is already in use in the Moscow metro and we believe that with this cooperation business is really going to take off. Our cloud-based technology is easy to deploy and safe to use.”

Last year, PayiQ opened an office in Russia, and earlier this year the company received an award for its innovative solutions at Russia’s Time for Innovation 2016 Awards.
