New stress relief method developed in Finland
A new method has been developed in Finland for relieving physical and mental stress. The Neurosonic method is based on a technology using vibrations to help the body recover faster.
The method developed by Neurosonic is suited for overcoming stress and various sleeping disorders, such as travel fatigue. According to the company, vibrations through the body reduce stress faster than the psychological treatment of stress.
“We have developed a method based on mechanical low-frequency vibrations, which are directed through the whole body. It has proven to be an astonishingly efficient method of recovery. We have filed a patent application for the method,” says psychotherapist Marco Kärkkäinen, who is responsible for Neurosonic Finland’s product development.
The method has been shown to accelerate recovery from both sports and work-related strain. The technology that produces relaxing vibrations is used in furniture, such as in mattresses, divans and special chairs.
Professor Markku Partinen, a neurologist who runs Finland’s only sleep clinic, has studied the efficacy and impacts of vibrations in the treatment of sleeping disorders. The results have been promising in terms of both improving sleep quality and relieving anxiety.
