Naava closes EUR 2.2 million crowdfunding round
Finnish healthtech company Naava has landed a hefty capital boost via Swedish equity crowdfunding company Pepins.
A total of 1 257 new investors joined Naava. Currently, Naava operates in Finland and Sweden, and has just opened a Naava smart green wall factory on the east coast of the United States.
“What’s interesting is that, as far as we have understood, this was the largest crowdfunding campaign ever for a Finnish B2B company,” tells Aki Soudunsaari, founder and CEO of Naava. “This speaks volumes of how crowdfunding is a valid form of funding for B2B companies as well, as long as the company vision is easily shared by others.”
The news follows the announcement from earlier this year that the company closed a funding round of 3.2 million euros.
