More than a million downloads for Tiltagon
The Finnish game Tiltagon has been downloaded more than a million times. The mobile game, developed by Kotka-based married couple Jyri and Pia Kilpeläinen in their spare time, has been available for some two months in app stores worldwide. A publishing agreement with Canadian company Noodle Cake Games has resulted in global distribution for the game.
The news was reported on the website mobiili.fi.
The game makes use of a tilting mechanism that sets it apart from its competitors. Tiltagon has received a rating of 4.2 stars out of five on Google Play.
“The trend today is to make difficult, ‘one-touch’ games. For Tiltagon, however, we decided to focus on tilting, which is controlled by the accelerometer, and this has proven to be a good distinguishing factor. The tilting does not make the game any easier – quite the opposite, in fact,” says the game’s developer Jyri Kilpeläinen.
