Finnish gaming startup Snowfall has landed one million euros in funding from Finnish investors to support its efforts in Asia and beyond.

The company’s idea is to develop Moomin-themed mobile games that bring people and families together all over the world. Snowfall’s focus is on the Asian market, and it intends to expand its reach to other areas in future.

The first Moomin game, JamRun, was developed by Indium Games, which has since become a part of Snowfall. According to Snowfall CEO Petri Elovaara, the company plans to publish at least two new games in the course of 2017.

Elovaara says Snowfall wants to combine the soft Moomin values and top-notch game technology.

“Our goal is to be the biggest Moomin mobile game company in the globe,” he notes.
