Momzie now also connects mums in Central Europe

“You are lucky if you have mum friends in your own circles, but if you do not, they can be hard to find,” Momzie CEO Hanna Lilja told us last month.

Finnish mobile app builds on its success by making the maternal connection in Luxembourg and neighbouring Belgium, France and Germany.

Launched in May last year, the Momzie smartphone application enables mums and mums-to-be to connect with other local women who are in the same stage of life.

“You are lucky if you have mum friends in your own circles, but if you do not, they can be hard to find,” Momzie CEO Hanna Lilja told us last month. “Or they were until now.”

Luxembourg was chosen for the next stage of the company’s expansion not only for its location at the heart of Europe, but for its cultural diversity and strong expat community. Given the country’s proximity to neighbouring Belgium, France and Germany, the app was made available in these territories to help also benefit the mothers and families of cross-border communities.

The app is available in English, German, French, Swedish and Finnish. Given the widespread appeal of providing such a service, Momzie is already planning further new markets to be opened soon.
