Finnish e-health solutions provider Mediconsult and its Sri Lankan subsidiary M C Medisoft will deliver data management solutions to hospitals in Sri Lanka.

A delivery agreement encompassing a patient register, visual reporting tool and centralised integration services was signed with governmental organisation Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) in Sri Lanka.

Mediconsult’s solutions will be integrated with existing software and services in the country’s hospitals, starting with the central hospital, in order to enhance healthcare in the country and cut expenses.

“We warmly thank the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Business Finland for opening up contacts for us,” said Tommi Salaspuro, CEO of Mediconsult. “After the successful completion of the Sri Lankan project, we intend to expand services to other Asian countries.”

The project will be initiated immediately and the first results will be showcased to the Sri Lankan health ministry in 2019.
