Matchmade secures USD 1.73 million in funding

Finnish intelligent influencer marketing platform for games Matchmade has announced a new 1.73 million-US dollar funding round led by Global Founders Capital.

Previous investors London-based Venture Partners and Reaktor Ventures participated in the funding round, while angel investor Henric Suuronen joined as a new investor. Matchmade also received additional funding from Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation.

The data-driven game influencer marketing platform Matchmade will use the funding towards scaling up operations and continuing to improve the company’s data analysis and forecasting capabilities.

“This funding round will allow us to offer the Matchmade platform to all players in the game influencer marketing space, bringing much needed structure and predictability to the ecosystem, as well as improving the quality and relevancy of sponsored content for the influencers’ fans,” says Jiri Kupiainen, CEO and founder of Matchmade.

The Matchmade platform was built by Finnish game developer Shark Punch in 2016. It makes use of end-to-end data collection, analysis, automation, matchmaking features and influencer marketing to help game publishers reach the optimal audiences for their games.
