The British retail chain Marks & Spencer is adding the famous Finnish Koskenkorva Vodka to its selection of spirits in the UK.

Koskenkorva Vodka is the premium export brand of the leading Nordic wines and spirits producer Altia.

The UK retail chain is rolling out the vodka brand in September. Kirsi Puntila, SVP in marketing at Altia, is excited about the new collaboration.

“Koskenkorva Vodka has undergone a significant rebranding work, and the vodka itself has received several international awards. Recent investments in Koskenkorva vodka have brought our key export brand positive attention, which also led to the deal with Marks & Spencer,” she says in a press release.

According to the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, the idea for the collaboration stems from a YouTube advert for the drink that was spotted by Marks & Spencer, which prompted the retail chain to get in touch with Altia on its own initiative.

Koskenkorva Vodka is currently available in almost 30 countries. Marks & Spencer is one of the UK’s largest retail chains.
