Finnish marine technology startup Norsepower has been recognised at the Ship Efficiency Awards 2015 ceremony in London.

The company won the Energy Efficiency Solution Award.

The Ship Efficiency Awards showcases organisations and individuals who contribute to the marine industry by developing more efficient practices and technological innovations and by providing proved efficiency benefits.

In 2014, Norsepower introduced an auxiliary wind propulsion solution that improves the fuel efficiency of cargo vessels. According to the company, large cargo vessels can achieve major savings in fuel consumption.
