Lemminkäinen finds work in Baltics

Finnish Lemminkäinen has signed a pile of agreements in the Baltic countries, including road reconstructions and smart checkpoints.

In Latvia, Lemminkäinen and Latvian State roads have agreed on the reconstruction of the regional road P62 in the southeastern part of the country. The work is scheduled to be completed in November 2018. The value of the contract is 14.4 million euros.

Further south, in Lithuania, the municipality of Vilnius chose Lemminkäinen to take care of pavement repair and maintenance works in the northern and western parts of the city. The work is already underway and will continue until spring 2020. Lemminkäinen is also currently reconstructing another road in the western part of Lithuania for the Lithuanian road administration. The value of these two contracts in total is 13.9 million euros.

In Estonia, Lemminkäinen has signed agreements with Tallinna Sadam AS (Port of Tallinn) and Estonian Road Administration. Lemminkäinen is building new, smart checkpoints and lining-up areas for vehicles in the Old City Harbour in Tallinn. The company is also currently repairing roads in 11 areas in Estonia for the Estonian State roads. The value of the contracts in Estonia is 10.3 million euros.
