Leading US institution trusts Finnish data know-how
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus will start using Finnish BC Platforms’ data management program to support the launch of its new personalised medicine initiative.
The major goal of the university’s program is to develop a proprietary biobank that complements existing, institutional tissue biorepositories and facilitates the development of diagnostic tests to promote optimal clinical decision-making and personalised treatment for patients.
BC Platforms will provide its data management platform to integrate and interpret an extensive amount of genetic information for both clinical decision-making and research.
“We are delighted to be working with CU Anschutz, a leading US institution that integrates world-class education, research and patient care, to manage and execute this transformative project,” says Tero Silvola, BC Platforms’ chief executive officer.
BC Platforms provides solutions to over 50 leading international institutions in 18 countries. The company has global operations with its research and development located in Helsinki, Finland and sales and marketing based in Basel, London, Boston and Vancouver.
