Finnish healthtech company Kide Systems is focusing on developing its international operations, after landing one million euros in funding.

The capital boost comes from Nordic Option, the Finnish funding agency for innovation Tekes and Finnish foundation Avohoidon tutkimussäätiö.

Kide Systems specialises in clinical imaging solutions for the medical industry. The company, headquartered in Oulu, Finland, was founded in 2015.

According to CEO Anssi Ylimaula, the company’s position in the Nordic market is strong. Now the funding will take it further to central Europe, where its first customer contract has already been signed.

“With the funding and new customers, our team will grow to over 20 people by the end of the year,” he says in the press release.
