Kalmar and Glaston deliver to Australia and the US

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, is continuing its co-operation with Australia’s largest stevedore DP World Australia and will deliver 38 machines to DP World Logistics Australia. Finnish glass processing company Glaston, meanwhile, has received a significant order from the US.

Kalmar’s order from the logistics arm of DP World Australia includes seven Kalmar reachstackers, 11 loaded and 20 empty container handlers.

Kalmar has delivered 22 units to DP World Logistics Australia’s Botany Intermodal terminal, with the remaining machinery set to be delivered by September 2017. The order was booked into Cargotec’s first quarter intake of 2017.

“We are happy to continue to serve DP World Logistics Australia with reliable and efficient equipment tailored to their needs,” comments Michael Wahab, director of Mobile Equipment at Kalmar.

Finnish glass processing company Glaston, has also secured a significant order in the US, for a Glaston FC Series flat glass tempering line from a customer looking to expand its tempered glass offerings.

“The Glaston FC Series double-chamber technology production line provides almost double the capacity compared to a standard single-chamber solution and meets all the requirements for demanding low emissivity glass tempering,” says Arto Metsänen, president & CEO, Glaston Corporation.

The order was booked into Glaston’s third quarter intake of 2017, with the line due to be delivered by the end of 2017.
