Finnish restaurant management software provider Jamix has signed a deal with the world-renowned Yale University in the US.

Jamix signed the deal with the American Ivy League university after two years of preparatory work both in Finland and on-site in the US.

Yale Hospitality provides 14 000 food portions to students every day, and Jamix’s software will now make it easier and more cost-efficient to manage everything from ingredients to nutrition values.

As a single customer, Yale in itself is of course remarkable and significant, but it will also open up the US market for us,” said Jamix CEO Mikko Jaatinen. “The reference couldn’t be any greater.”

Yale University is situated in New Haven, Connecticut, an hour’s drive from New York City and two hours’s drive from Boston, where Jamix’s US office is located.

Jamix founded a subsidiary in the US in 2018 as it shifted its focus across the Atlantic. The US team is strengthened by certified master chef Ron DeSantis, who previously worked as the director of culinary excellence at Yale Hospitality.
