Tampere-based Hermia Business Development and Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, have teamed up to bring Finnish innovation and tech know-how to China. The strategic partnership will also see the latter open its third global Overseas Station in Tampere, Finland.

The collaboration agreement signed between Hermia Business Development and Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology (JAST)  aims to significantly increase exports of Finnish SMEs to China.

JAST is the business development network for China Jiangsu province, and is thus instrumental in creating contacts and introducing Finnish businesses to the Chinese market.

During the meetings, JAST also outlined plans to organise four large seminars in China during this autumn, where Finnish businesses will have the opportunity to meet potential customers, strike partnerships and find funding.

Hermia Business Development has been networking on behalf of Finnish business in China for more than seven years. During this time it has created collaboration networks in the Shanghai, Guangdong, Hubei and, most recently, Jiangsu provinces. The combined population of the area exceeds 270 million.

This year marks a considerable strengthening of Herman Business Development’s position in China, with new offices set to open in Guangzhoun, Shenzhenin, Suzhoun and Nanjingin, and similar negotiations underway with other Chinese provinces.
