Greenled lights up for SUSI Energy Efficiency Fund
Leading provider of sustainable lighting solutions in Finland, Greenled, has signed a contract with Swiss SUSI Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF) for the funding of energy efficient lighting projects in Finland.
The broad set of projects are expected to total 15 million euros by the end of 2018. Greenled is to change lighting in offices, sporting facilities, industrial sites, shops, on the streets and in public spaces to more energy efficient LED-solutions in Finland, to begin with.
The projects are expected to cut more than 6 000 tonnes in carbon emissions and save up to 2.5 million euros in energy costs every year.
“The innovative funding scheme with an established and respected actor in the financial sector strengthens our strategy and creates an opportunity for even greater growth in European markets,” says Pertti Tahvanainen, CEO of Greenled.
SEEF is the largest private investor in energy efficient projects in Europe and will provide Greenled with all the funding it needs for the projects, allowing Greenled to expand internationally as capital gets freed up and eventually undertake similar projects in Sweden and Germany as well.
