Glaston a big deal in South America
Finnish company Glaston has sold a flat tempering furnace with Chinook convection system to a Chilean company.
Measured by size, this is the biggest flat tempering furnace that Glaston has ever sold in South America. The deal was made with one of the leading architectural glass fabricators in Chile, Comercial Dialum.
The Chilean company produces high-quality tempered and laminated glasses, which, in addition to its home market, are exported to Latin America and the United States. The move sees them attaining a competitive advantage in the region by being able to process large glasses without a high level of emissions.
The furnace is set to be delivered this summer.
