Funzi and Ultimate.ai create bright future in Dubai
Finnish tech companies Funzi and Ultimate.ai are participating in the second round of the Dubai Future Accelerators programme, which aims to find solutions to the most pressing global problems and implement them in Dubai.
Mobile learning service Funzi will develop the education ecosystem together with the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority and create a commercially sustainable Funzi Hub in Dubai.
Ultimate.ai, meanwhile, is in the artificial intelligence game and has developed an AI customer service agent, which uses deep learning to understand the language and meaning of the user’s query.
“For those with vision and drive to face the challenges of the future and create innovative solutions, we have launched the Dubai Future Accelerators,” says H.E. Abdulla bin Touq, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation.
“We warmly welcome this next round of companies to work with our leading government bodies and to use our city as a living testbed for new technologies,” Bin Touq continues.
The first batch finished their round in December 2016 and created 33 million euros in pilot programs and commercial partnerships. The second nine-week round is now underway, with 35 companies participating, which includes the Finnish duo.
