Finland-based Nursebuddy, a mobile software solution for home care organisations, has attracted 650 000 euros in funding.

Offices in Turku, Finland and in Dublin, Ireland, Nursebuddy has created a mobile solution that optimises the schedules of both nurses and carers and also shares information in real time. Family members know how loved ones are doing from anywhere in the world, and can maintain easy contact with care professionals.

The funding news was reported by Arctic Startup.

“We are dedicated to solving one of the major challenges for Western societies,” the website quotes Nursebuddy CEO and cofounder Simo Hännikkälä. “Grannies and granddads deserve the best possible care, and nurses and carers deserve easytouse tools so that they can focus on their clients instead of bureaucracy.”

The company is working on increasing automation of the product, using the funding to support its product development and grow international sales. Aside from Finland and Ireland, Nursebuddy has also partnered with home care providers in the UK.
