Fortum and Bonava to evolve smart living
Fortum, one of the leading companies in cleantech, has started a commercial partnership on solutions for smart living in Sweden with the Sweden-based construction company Bonava.
Smart living solutions are being developed for residents of apartment flats and single-family homes. Residents will be able to control their home via a separate display or a mobile phone.
With a display in a smart home, customers can manage the consumption of water, energy and heat, but also control lighting, appliances and electrical devices. The system includes security and fire and water damage alarms.
“In the future energy system, energy production is increasingly dependent on weather conditions,” says Rami Piik, vice president of Smart Home Solutions, Fortum, in a release. “It is important that energy consumption can be shifted to those hours when there is an abundance of production. With the solution currently under development, the energy consumption of residents can be adjusted easily and without compromising living comfort.”
Installation of the smart living systems will begin later this year. Bonava has plans to feature smart living solutions to all new Bonava houses in Sweden within five years.
