The Guardian has listed Helsinki’s annual Flow Festival as one of the best music festivals in Europe.

Altogether the UK daily shone the spotlight on 10 festivals around the continent.

After starting out humbly a decade ago, Flow Festival has grown into a three-day magnet for cutting edge artistic expression. The festival draws around 75 000 people each year.

Held in the grounds of a power plant, the festival is also renowned for getting creative with its cuisine: “more than 40 high-profile restaurants are to be part of the event, with an emphasis on sustainable, locally produced food, including plenty of vegan cuisine,” The Guardian writes.
