More flights to come between Finland and China
New flight service routes will be established between Finland and China, after the two signed a Memorandum of Understanding on air transport.
Negotiations took place in Helsinki on 20–21 April, where it was agreed that airlines could start flying between Finland and Nanjing in China. A route between Rovaniemi and Bejing could be also introduced.
The limitations on the number of operating airlines were also dropped, which allows for several airlines to operate the new routes.
The negotiations on air transport followed a state visit to Finland by Chinese president Xi Jinping earlier in April and are set to continue in China in 2019.
