Finnish shelf innovation to hit North American markets
An American equipment manufacturer will begin manufacturing and selling a shelf system developed by Visu Kaluste.
Visu Kaluste, from Ruovesi, Finland, and the American company Sheldon Manufacturing have signed a licensing deal according to which Sheldon will begin manufacturing products in the United States. The products will become available in the US and Canada.
The licensed product is the Visu shelf system, invented by the Finnish company’s CEO Jouni Neste. Visu Kaluste’s high fittings and shelf systems are used in, for example, laboratories, hospitals and universities.
“We expect a lot from this deal as North America is the biggest market area for these particular product groups and our co-operation partners are extremely well-equipped to manufacture the products and distribute them on the markets in question,” says sales director Kari Hokkanen.
“The products are already great and utilising the patented product in the future will open up new doors to multiple product groups,” says Dan Sheldon, president of Sheldon Manufacturing.
Visu Kaluste has developed its own shelving models for the likes of Isku and Metos in Finland.
Sheldon Manufacturing, known as a manufacturer of metal products, is specialised in constant temperature solutions such as ovens, test chambers and specialty products used in the food, pharmaceutical and electronics industries, among others.
