Finland-based manufacturer of drilling equipment Robit seeks to strengthen its down-the-hole business area.

Finnish Robit has bought British manufacturer Bulroc. The acquisition is the company’s second purchase of note in less than two months, after acquiring Australian Drilling Tools Australia back in May.

Based in Chesterfield, UK, Bulroc supplies large down-the-hole hammers and related accessories. The company has 46 employees.

As the two acquired companies’ product ranges support each other, Robit becomes a remarkable global supplier in the down-the-hole business.

With the acquisitions the company’s cumulative net sales are set to surpass 75 million euros.

Robit is a Finnish manufacturer of button bits for rock drilling and casing systems for ground drilling. Its products are currently exported to over 100 countries.
