Finnish Raiha Hydraulics is opening its first office in St. Petersburg, Russia and looking into setting up branches in other regions, too.

Raiha Hydraulics designs new hydraulic systems and maintains and supplies equipment for various industries. The company is part of Hollming Group.

Hollming believes that the new Raiha office in Russia will widen the company’s range of products and services as well as enable further recruitments and even establishing new offices in other regions.

“Hollming has been in close business relations with partners in Russia during the 70-year history of the company,” notes Jouko Salo, CEO and president of Hollming, in a press release. “Personally, I am happy to increase our presence in the market as my great-grandfather, grandfather and father all worked with Russian counterparts successfully. Raiha Hydraulics Russia will serve largely the marine market where our group has a strong portfolio from engine room auxiliary systems to machinery components for propulsion systems.”

Hollming Group, founded in 1945, also includes Kankaanpää Works and Auramarine. In total, it employs more than 300 people.
