Finnish Peikko Group has signed a land leasing deal in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for an industrial plot to be turned into warehouse and factory premises.

The land leasing deal for the approximately 11 500-square metre industrial plot in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE was signed by Peikko‘s sales and production unit in the UAE, Peikko Gulf.

Peikko’s operations in the Middle East are growing steadily, and the new industrial premises in Ras al Khaimah will complement the company’s nearby warehouse and factory operations covering a 2 800-square metre area.

“Operating in the Gulf region from the strategically important location of Ras Al Khaimah has been an excellent choice for Peikko,” says Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group. “RAKEZ has provided us with continuous support. Our aim is to increase our growth remarkably in the Middle East. The new factory will enable large scale production, and faster and more flexible customer service in the region.”

Peikko will immediately start to plan and design the new factory and aims to have it operational by the end of 2018.
