Finnish-Kenyan startup keeps growing in Asia and Africa

Fuzu has received 1.75 million euros in funding in order to be able to develop and expand its operations in Africa and Asia.

Currently present in the Kenyan market, the company aims to spread its wings further. Fuzu has created a platform for career development, learning and recruitment for developing markets.

Fuzu’s aim is to respond to challenges faced by both jobseekers and recruiters. For companies, the system offers tools for search and analysis, tests and skill evaluations for finding the best talents. Fuzu provides jobseekers with career counselling, learning services and information about open vacancies.

In Kenya, Fuzu has over 180 000 users, and hundreds of companies use it in recruitment. The company sees enormous potential in the African market; according to Fuzu, over 120 million new jobseekers will enter the African job market during this decade.

The funding comes from Finnfund, Barona Technologies and Polkuni.
