Finland has one of world’s best reputations
Reputation Institute has ranked Finland second in its annual global study of country reputations, the Country RepTrak.
Finland moved up from seventh position last year to finish second just behind Sweden. According to the report, the country’s centennial year in 2017 provided a number of significant boosts to its global reputation.
“Finland legalised same-sex marriage and once again topped the WEF list of having the one of the best school systems in the world,” it noted.
The ranking evaluated 55 of the world’s largest countries by GDP during the first quarter of 2018. It sought to aggregate “emotional connection towards these countries, and how perceptions of reputation drive underlying stakeholder behaviour on key measures such as the willingness to visit, live in, work in, invest in and study in these countries”.
