Miradore is to become the first Mobile Device Management (MDM) provider in Europe and second in the world to support Google’s Android platform.

Finnish IT firm Miradore has announced it will make an Android software update to its Enterprise Mobility Management product, Miradore Online.

The new update means that Miradore will apply its cloud-based mobile device management service to the world’s most widely used Android platform. After the update, Miradore can, for example, set up a secure work profile on any mobile device running on Android 5 or above.

“Android is at this point the best platform for Enterprise with unparalleled security out of the box,” says Valtteri Kekki, CTO at Miradore. “Google’s effort to support the enterprise is a huge step forward in the market. We’re very excited to be the first in Europe to offer this service.”

Miradore recently opened a new office in Stockholm, Sweden. Altogether, its Miradore Online service is being used in 140 countries and now works on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, with support for Windows desktop coming soon.
