Estonia’s e-Residency programme is to provide digital banking for its successful applicants, thanks to Finnish fintech company Holvi.

The programme has made headlines worldwide for enabling anyone to apply to become an e-resident of Estonia. Once successful, e-residents may register a global EU company that can be managed online from anywhere in the world.

Thanks to the partnership with Holvi, now they don’t have to travel to Estonia in order to access business banking.

“We believe this partnership with Holvi significantly enhances the value of e-Residency because the needs of our growing community of e-residents are a perfect match with the services that they provide,” states e-Residency programme director Kaspar Korjus. “As our community of e-residents grows, so too does the entrepreneurial ecosystem around e-Residency.”
