Finnish robotic process automation (RPA) growth company Digital Workforce has received a two million-euro investment boost.

The company is using the new capital to strengthen its market position in Sweden and open offices in the other Nordic countries.

Digital Workforce provides digital workers as a service. The goal of digital workers is to automate the routine and rules-based tasks of knowledge work. This in turn frees up human resources for more productive tasks.

“We offer our customers the most extensive network of RPA professionals in the Nordics,” explains Heikki Länsisyrjä, one of the company’s founders. “Our objective is to employ over 100 top consultants by the end of this year.”

The company’s customers include major banking and insurance companies, as well as healthcare and public organisations in Finland and Sweden.

Participating in the funding round is a new investor Norvestia now part of the CapMan Group, and earlier seed investors Leena Niemistö and Lifeline Ventures.
